When I went to my first Kairos we were asked what our favorite verse was. I did not have one at the time but had been encouraged to learn to paint. Fast forward a few years and I came across Psalm 119:71. It immediately struck a chord with me as did Psalm 3. Psalm 119:71 however, also placed this image in my mind. I really enjoyed making this one and seeing it come to fruition. I believe I fully grasped the meaning of the verse. For those of you who may never be behind bars, the bars can still apply symbolically. A prison of sickness or disease, or of a particular bad habit, or of sin. If the negative leads you to the Lord, and/or to study scripture, then this may apply in your life also... out in the world I considered myself a Christian but did not read my bible nor try to do as the Lord would want me to do.
